So, almost a year of no posts. I thought I should perhaps write something just do get cobwebs off the page. Things are going for the band (chances are, if you're reading this, you already know that; if you don't, go to http://www.facebook.com/1moreanimal). Springboard EP has been out for a bit. Working on the next album.

Dramatic

i am gonna backtrack and sum up friday/monday (4/20, 4/23) and make it short and sweet.  i had an e true hollywood story moment.  decided to "storm out dramatically" during our rehearsal because it wasnt going perfectly.  my sweet brothers equated it to girl problems and let me have my moment.  after pounding a coors light i returned to the studio and we continued the set.  id like to thank my brothers for dealing with my bullshit.
monday, we had quite a productive rehearsal.  in and out, ran the set a few times...i think were ready for the next show.
for the record, we were born ready.  what a cliche.  but its true.  also...the "bathroom problems" i had werent the kind you are thinking of.
also, honzo learned every song that he hadnt played on in like, 2 minutes because he is just a rockstar like that.

just another friday night studio night. or saturday morning studio night...wjhatever u wanna call it

springboard is officially close to being done. seriously?!  ya!  at lest this kid thinks so

jonny KT and johnny red were in the house.

we made stan sweat shooting 4 or 5 dance videos. he wanted to choreograph it, but woody allen said NO!!!

then we shot the best video that will never be seen. thanx JT for breaking yet another rib or 2. and i know ur back is feeling the consequences of that back drop/flip u did hahaha

we all quit smoking too, so naturally we plowed through Honzo's bag of Tops!  i even had an electric cig on me that was unopened when i woke up

Friday Night:

Had a Few jam Sessions, and Chilled out for the most part. Couldn't Work on much cause there was so much people everywhere in and out. Mo Was knocked out Snoring Like a beast Haha. Can't say quite much cause i was behind drums most of the time. But sure was a kick ass night.

Monday Night:

After Weeks and Weeks Of Trying to Finish 1 of the Tracks for Spingboard, I think We Might Have Actually Finished The Song. We Can Finally Start Rehearsing For our next show Which is on May 12th. I Think this EP Is Close to Following me to bed. After Relaxing From recording the new track We jammed a few times and Finally I say FINALLY The Curse has been lifted!!....We got every single thing recorded!

friday night lights 04-06-12

i should leave this page blank in respect to the fucking crazy ass night we had. but i wont. 

honzo was the 1st to show at 230pm friday, and stan was the last to leave at 1130am saturday.  not bad yall!

accomplishment: we wrote the title track to our 3rd album, "seriously...whats wrong", and this kid cant stop listening to it. Keep keep keep keep keep keep keep keep walking walking walking walking off that ledge.

i met jonnys alter ego, English Teacher, for the first time. He's mostly cool. 

hmmm...we got Stan the "Gym Teacher". 3 more alter egos and we change our band name to Teachers

vince tried filming some live jams, but ended up listening and head bouncing instead.

Mo found out how to see if 1 More Animal is in the studio. For our future fans...go on 24th st, just east of 6th ave. look north, and up 10 stories, and if the fire escape door is open, IT'S ON!!!! might have to change the studio name from "the bunker" to "the light house" just cause of that!

Funniest shit of the night  Mo barged in the studio Thursday night thinking that was still our studio night. he opened the door ready to get his animal on, and with a room full of strangers having a meeting looking at him, all he was able to mutter was "Con?"  lololol   Friday nights, Mo, friday nights!!! 

(there were about 20 funny shits tied for 2nd.

Best Jams  shit no one heard all 18 hours of the jams, but hands down for me was writing and recording seriously whats wrong.

Mon. April 2nd Studio Night!

*looks off in the distance and claps*. The main point for our very fun studio night. Laughter is the best medicine and it consumed the premises of the studio. We laid down follow me to bed about 8-10 times on a very zoned out mode. We loved it everytime. Jammed out with Stan's friend Evan and talked about our potential shows and how once this EP is done the rehearsing for playing out will begin with a vengeance! The picture above is one of our fans, Lisandro, on a long bus ride to wherever he was going and listening to 1 More Animal. I love this photo. Laura PASSED OUT for probably the first time ever, and of course special guest star from Marv, who has broken the bro code indefinetley by not waking Laura up. Got some work done,  played out and Jammed some insane stuff that was lost forever into the music time continuim. Let's hope Vince doesn't owe Con any more favors! Another studio night recap

So, Thursday night was another studio night.

I got there pretty late, around 10:30pm. We didn't really do much. We listened to how Suz's, another sound engineer, work-in-progress mix of our EP sounded, and then jammed. After playing guitar and drums, I realized I was pretty tired and pretty much called it a night on a futon. I woke up around 8 am to find Con asleep on the couch in the studio and Jonny asleep on the couch in the waiting area.

So, I left and went to my gym. I did deadlifts.
